Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Business Analyst to join our Project Management Office (PMO) with a strong financial background and expertise in value management, cost-benefit analysis, and return on investment (ROI) evaluation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that IT and business projects align with strategic financial goals, deliver maximum value, and adhere to corporate financial governance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a liaison between business and IT project owners to develop project charters, budgets, and resource plans.
* Conduct thorough cost-benefit analyses for proposed IT and business projects.
* Develop and maintain standardized financial and project performance metrics within the PMO.
* Monitor ongoing project costs and value measurement to ensure financial objectives are met.
* Partner with Finance and IT leadership to drive cost efficiencies across technology investments.
* Collaborate with project managers to develop, maintain, and forecast project budgets.
* Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization in financial reporting for projects.
* Provide financial insights and recommendations to support project prioritization and decision-making.
* Work closely with procurement and vendor management teams to analyze contract financials and support negotiations.
* Support governance processes by ensuring financial compliance and reporting alignment with corporate standards.
* Assist in integrating financial data into enterprise project management tools for better visibility.
* Prepare and deliver detailed financial reports and presentations for senior leadership.
* Develop best practices for financial risk assessment in IT projects.
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, Information Technology, Business Analysis, Project Management, or a related field.
* PMI-PBA or PMP certification preferred.
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a strong financial focus.
* Expertise in value management, cost-benefit analysis, ROI evaluation, and financial modeling.
* Strong knowledge of IT project financials and familiarity with financial systems such as Oracle ERP, SAP, or other enterprise financial platforms.
* Advanced proficiency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, financial modeling) and Power BI or similar visualization tools.
* Understanding of Agile, SAFe, or other project methodologies and how they impact financial tracking.
* Strong experience in stakeholder management and executive reporting.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
