About the Role:

The Senior Azure Cloud Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, engineering, deploying, documenting, and managing Azure network solutions. This includes ensuring seamless connectivity between on-premises networks and Azure, configuring firewalls, switches and office and data networks and leading projects to deliver technical solutions. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.

Key Position Responsibilities Include:

• Lead the design, deployment, and management of Azure network solutions, ensuring connectivity between on-premises networks and Azure environments.
• Provide technical direction and coordination for cloud networking projects, ensuring service integration and management across global strategies.
• Develop professional diagrams, documentation, and operational standards, policies, and procedures for network solutions using industry-standard toolsets.
• Resolve complex technical network issues, providing clear communications to stakeholders and teams throughout the resolution process.
• Provide leadership and hands-on expertise in network engineering, driving the development of new technology standards and processes for cloud networking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create strategic business and engineering solutions based on network requirements.
• Manage Azure infrastructure networks, including configuration of associated components such as Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Network Security Groups (NSG), Application Security Groups (ASG), and load balancers.
• Lead the development and implementation of cloud-based security solutions, including the design and configuration of firewalls, and security protocols.
• Build and manage network and host security groups for comprehensive technical and security analysis.
• Develop cloud network services and automation, using APIs and virtualization technologies.
• Communicate effectively with business and technical teams to gather requirements, share product features, and define network designs.
• Work in an agile and dynamic environment, adapting to changes while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, business partners, vendors, and technical teams.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, or equivalent experience in related field.
• 10-15 years professional experience in enterprise-level network administration, especially with Azure Networking, Cisco Meraki devices, and CheckPoint firewalls.
• Azure Network certifications (AZ-700) is required.
• Proven experience in designing, interconnecting, and supporting networks within Azure Regions and Availability Zones.
• Proven experience in designing and interconnecting networks within Azure, including Azure Regions, Availability Zones, and related connectivity frameworks.
• Extensive experience working with Meraki and CheckPoint Firewalls and security platforms.
• Deep knowledge of Azure's Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings, including the configuration of associated network components (WAF, NSG, ASG, load balancers).
• Ability to manage and implement security and compliance strategies for cloud networks.
• Expertise in cybersecurity, network automation, and API integrations in cloud environments. (Platform as Code (PaC))
• Multi-vendor network experience and knowledge, with a strong understanding of network design and deployment practices.
• Experience working with various cloud-based networking tools and security services, including Cloudflare.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable solutions for stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in managing and driving cloud network services and security for dynamic business environments.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
• Excellent proficiency in English written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
