Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Automation Tester / Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API-based applications. You will be responsible for improving our testing processes, ensuring high-quality releases, and mentoring junior testers. As a Senior Automation Tester, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the software meets both functional and performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Automated Testing Strategy: Develop and maintain automation test strategies, frameworks, and approaches to ensure the quality of software products across multiple platforms (web, mobile, and API).

• Test Automation Development: Design, implement, and optimize automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, Postman, etc.).

• Test Framework Maintenance: Continuously improve, scale, and refactor existing automation frameworks to keep them efficient, maintainable, and up-to-date with the evolving technology stack.

• Continuous Integration/Continuous Testing: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless execution of tests in automated build and deployment workflows (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, etc.).

• Test Planning & Reporting: Assist in planning, designing, and estimating the testing effort. Generate detailed test reports, track defects, and provide regular updates to stakeholders on testing progress and results.

• Test Coverage: Analyze and ensure full test coverage for both new features and regression testing, ensuring that high-risk areas of the application are prioritized.

• Performance Testing (Optional): Design and execute performance tests (load, stress, and scalability) using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.

• Bug Tracking & Resolution: Identify, log, and track defects, working with the development team to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner.

• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure that automated tests meet business and technical needs.

• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers and QA team members on best practices in test automation, debugging, and test design.

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in test automation and software quality assurance.

• 2+ years in a senior or lead role.

Skills

• Expertise in automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Cypress, or similar.

• Strong knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful APIs) and browsers.

• Familiarity with test frameworks like JUnit, TestNG, or NUnit.

• Experience with API testing and tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.

• Experienced with Jira or similar issue reporting tools.
