Job Description: Senior Automation Test Engineer (Cypress)
Overview
We are currently seeking a Senior Automation Tester (Cypress) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our products by developing and executing automated test scripts, collaborating closely with DevOps and development teams, and contributing to our automation test strategy.
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to review acceptance criteria and specifications.
2. Perform a range of Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) activities.
3. Analyze product specifications, break down complex software systems, and design effective testing strategies.
4. Define, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using industry-standard tools.
5. Contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of the Automation Test Strategy.
6. Assist in resolving technical impediments faced by the team.
7. Actively participate and contribute to Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
8. Develop, maintain, and execute test scripts, materials, and regression test packs.
9. Ensure proper documentation and reporting of test results.
Requirements
1. 4+ years of professional experience in Automation QA within technically rigorous environments, maintaining high standards for quality and automation.
2. Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals and practical experience in functional testing using a value-driven approach.
3. Proven experience in designing and developing test automation frameworks using Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright.
4. Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
5. Experience with API and integration testing tools such as Postman, FitNesse, and Karate.
6. Knowledge of non-functional testing aspects, including performance, security, and accessibility testing.
7. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including an understanding of Agile ceremonies and estimation techniques.
8. Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, K6, or BlazeMeter.
9. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience in cloud-based environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
2. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration into DevOps workflows.
3. Strong communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
4. ISTQB or equivalent certification in software testing.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
