Senior Automation Engineer
Job Overview: We are seeking a Playwright Tester to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and executing automated end to-end tests for our web applications using the Playwright framework. You will work closely with developers and QA engineers to ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of our web applications through efficient and effective test automation.
Experience range: 6+ years
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Playwright.
Collaborate with developers to understand application features and requirements to
design and implement test cases.
Execute automated tests, identify defects, and track them through to resolution.
Continuously improve the test automation framework to increase test coverage and
efficiency.
Analyze test results and provide clear, actionable feedback on software quality.
Participate in the design and implementation of testing strategies for new features and
releases.
Ensure that test scripts are scalable and reusable, leveraging Playwright's features for
parallel test execution and cross-browser testing.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues discovered
during testing.
Document and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scripts for easy reference and
reproducibility.
Integrate Playwright tests with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
pipelines.
Provide support in manual testing when necessary and assist with regression testing.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong experience in writing and maintaining automated tests using Playwright
Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) and how they
interact within modern web applications.
Experience with test automation frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
Proficiency in TypeScript for writing test scripts.
Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in both automated and manual testing
environments.
Knowledge of cross-browser testing techniques and handling browser compatibility
issues.
Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with developers and other stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Playwright in large-scale, production-level applications.
Knowledge of API testing and integration testing with tools like Postman, REST Assured,
or similar.
Experience working in an Agile environment with Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or
equivalent experience.
