Job Purpose
Project manager / Scrum master guides the team through Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives while keeping everyone focused on their deliverables. Acts as a bridge between the product owner and the development team, ensuring that the product backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives.

Candidate Profile
Candidates should have a Bachelors/master’s degree in business administration or Bachelor of Engineering/Technology or equivalent
5+ years of overall experience with atleast 4+ years of experience in delivering projects as a project manager/scrum master
Proficiency in Agile methodologies, Scrum framework, JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Kanban, and other Agile tools.
In-depth understanding of Agile principles and practices. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile scaling frameworks like SAFe.
Experience in leading Agile transformations within organizations or across multiple teams.
Demonstrated experience in scaling Agile operations, managing global Agile teams, or driving process improvements at scale.
Thorough understanding of project management phases, techniques and tools:
– Initiate
– Prepare: definition/scope/requirements
– Execute & Control: scope, workplans, resources, deliverables, QA, transition planning, etc.
– Close: completion and assessment
Proficient in project planning, estimation, risk and issue mitigation
Excellent project tracking and monitoring skills
Experience using project management tools and techniques
Good decision making and problem-solving skills
Adaptable, flexible and ability to prioritize and work in tight schedules
Ability to manage pressure, ambiguity and change
Experience in managing stakeholder expectations (client and project team) and generating relevant reports
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification preferred
Ensure quality of deliverables within project timelines
Independently manage daily client communication, especially over calls
Drives the work towards completion with accuracy and timely deliverables
Able to work independently without the need for close supervision and also collaboratively as part of cross-team efforts
Good to have Financial Services knowledge
Key Responsibilities
A candidate needs to interact with the global financial clients regularly and will be responsible for final delivery of work including:
Organizes and moderates key Scrum events, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Ensure that the team remains aligned with project objectives and maintains steady progress
Provide the team with a regular cadence to reflect on their progress and adjust their approach to achieve better outcomes in future sprints
Identifying and addressing obstacles that hinder the team’s productivity
Proactively facilitate resolution of external dependencies, technical issues, or workflow bottlenecks
Liaise with stakeholders or management to mitigate risks and ensure uninterrupted progress
Mentor, guiding the team in understanding and implementing Agile principles effectively
Provide sprint outcomes and project status using tools such as dashboards, progress reports, and visual workflows
Assists the product owner in managing the product backlog, refining user stories, and prioritizing tasks based on business value
Identify, track, and mitigate risks affecting Agile teams.
Establish and track KPIs such as velocity, burndown charts, cycle time, and team efficiency.
Define project scope and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with executive management
Develop project plans and schedule
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
Track project milestones and deliverables
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations
Issue status reports to the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Conduct project “lessons learned” meetings and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
Demonstrate high attention to detail, should work in a dynamic environment whilst maintaining high quality standards, a natural aptitude to develop good internal working relationships and a flexible work ethic
Responsible for Quality Checks and adhering to the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) / Turn Around Time (TAT)
