Senior Application Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Application Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with expertise in digital platforms and a passion for innovation. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality applications that meet the needs of our clients
In this role typical day might include performing the following:

1. Application Development:
Develop and maintain scalable applications using microservices architecture, ensuring efficient deployment and management of containerized applications.

Design and implement APIs using Python FastAPI, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests.

Develop highly responsive user interface components using React concepts, ensuring they are self-contained, reusable, and testable.

Implement micro frontends using Webpack to enable independent deployment and scaling of frontend components.

Write maintainable and bug-free code using testing frameworks like PyTest, unittest, and debugging tools.

Implement highly available RESTful APIs using Python/NodeJS technologies.

Monitor and improve front-end performance, ensuring responsive web-based UI development.

Apply modern front-end build pipelines and tools, and implement popular React.js workflows (such as Flux, Redux, Context API).

2. Cloud Integration:
Work with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and container technologies (Kubernetes) to architect, deploy, and handle applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

Optimize applications for cloud performance and scalability.

Experience with AWS services and deployment pipelines.

Implement and handle service mesh architectures to enhance application networking and security.

3. Database Management:
Design and handle databases using DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.

Ensure data integrity and optimize database performance.

Solid understanding of database concepts, systems architecture, and data structures.

4. Collaboration and Project Delivery:
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to implement new features and improve existing systems.

Plan team work according to the development framework, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.

5. Code Quality and Review:
Contribute to the codebase and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality standards.

Provide technical support and guidance to junior developers.

Document code inline using JSDoc or other conventions.

6. DevOps Practices:
Implement DevOps practices to automate and streamline development, testing, and deployment processes.

Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD processes, automate deployments, and ensure smooth application operations.

Use ArgoCD for continuous delivery and GitOps workflows.

Well-versed with CI/CD principles and troubleshooting issues in distributed services ecosystems.

7. Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Propose and implement improvements to existing applications and processes.

8. Security and Data Protection:
Implement security and data protection measures to safeguard applications and data.

Understanding of Single-Sign-on or token-based authentication (Rest, JWT, OAuth).

This job might be for you if you:
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.

Proficient with the latest versions of ECMAScript (JavaScript or TypeScript).

Knowledge of React and common tools used in the wider React ecosystem, such as npm, yarn, etc.

Familiarity with common programming tools such as RESTful APIs, TypeScript, version control software, and remote deployment tools, CI/CD tools.

Understanding of containerization, experienced in Docker, Kubernetes.

Exposed to API gateway integrations.

Possess expert knowledge of task/message queues including but not limited to AWS, Microsoft Azure, Pushpin, and Kafka.

Practical experience with GraphQL is good to have.

Writing tested, idiomatic, and documented JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Experience in developing responsive web-based UI.

Experience with Styled Components, Tailwind CSS, Material UI, and other CSS-in-JS techniques.

Understanding of linter libraries (TSLINT, Prettier, etc).

Unit testing using Jest, Enzyme, Jasmine, or equivalent framework.

Proficiency with Git for version control, collaboration, and codemanagment.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Experience with other cloud platforms like Azure or Google Cloud.

Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Knowledge of agile development methodologies.

Experience with service mesh technologies and ArgoCD for continuous delivery.

Experience with microservices architecture and micro frontends using Webpack.
