The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Android Developer to lead the next phase of the Barsys Android app. You’ll be responsible for building a robust, intuitive, and visually stunning mobile experience that interacts seamlessly with our robotic devices and enhances every aspect of the user’s cocktail journey.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—product, design, hardware, and content—to shape features that feel thoughtful, fluid, and joyful. We value developers who move quickly, think creatively, and build instinctively. You’ll have access to modern tools like Same.dev, Lovable.dev, and development approaches grounded in vibe coding—where intuition, speed, and beauty guide the build process.

Responsibilities

• Own the development and optimization of the Barsys Android app, built with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Design and deliver high-performance features that interface with our smart hardware via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to create seamless, emotionally engaging user journeys.
• Lead adoption of tools like Same.dev and Lovable.dev to streamline design-to-code workflows and accelerate feature development.
• Apply vibe coding principles to iterate rapidly and build features that feel natural and fluid.
• Ensure the app is stable, secure, and scalable—while continuously improving performance and responsiveness.
• Mentor junior developers, lead technical discussions, and influence architectural decisions.
• Stay ahead of Android platform updates, UI/UX trends, and innovations in smart device integration.
  
  

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing and deploying Android applications using Kotlin.
• Deep knowledge of Jetpack Compose, modern app architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture), and Android development best practices.
• Experience working with connected devices (Bluetooth, IoT, Wi-Fi) or real-time mobile interactions.
• Passion for intuitive, design-led experiences and a strong understanding of mobile UI/UX.
• Familiarity with tools like Same.dev, Lovable.dev, or experience using AI-assisted or low-code platforms to accelerate dev cycles.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and work collaboratively across disciplines.
• Bonus: experience in the consumer hardware or smart home space.
