About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer to lead the development and enhancement of our Android applications. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in Kotlin/Java, Android SDK, Jetpack, MVVM architecture, and RESTful APIs. Key Responsibilities1. Android Application Development & Optimization

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Ensure smooth performance, scalability, and responsiveness of the apps.
• Implement Jetpack components, MVVM architecture, and Dependency Injection (Dagger/Hilt).
• Work on UI/UX improvements to enhance the user experience.

2. API Integration & Backend Communication

• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services (Firebase, Google Maps, Payment Gateways, etc.).
• Implement authentication and security features like OAuth, JWT, and biometric authentication.
• Optimize network calls and caching for better app performance.

3. Code Quality & Best Practices

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure code quality.
• Implement unit testing (JUnit, Espresso) and CI/CD pipelines.

4. Performance, Security & Compliance

• Optimize memory management, battery usage, and app startup time.
• Ensure security best practices to protect user data and comply with Google Play guidelines.
• Monitor and analyze app performance using Firebase Crashlytics, Google Analytics, and profiling tools.

5. Agile Development & Team Collaboration

• Work closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product managers.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Mentor and guide junior developers to improve coding standards.

Key RequirementsEducational Qualification (Preferred but not always mandatory)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s Degree (Optional) in a relevant field can be an added advantage.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java and Kotlin (primary languages for Android development).
• Android SDK & Development Tools: Experience with Android Studio, Gradle, and debugging tools.
• UI/UX & Design Patterns: Knowledge of Material Design principles and MVVM/MVP architecture.
• APIs & Databases: Experience with RESTful APIs, SQLite, Room Database, Firebase, and third-party libraries.
• Version Control: Familiarity with Git/GitHub/GitLab.
• Testing & Debugging: Unit testing, UI testing frameworks (Espresso, JUnit).
• Deployment & Play Store: Experience in publishing and maintaining apps on Google Play Store.
