Senior Android Developer

Overview

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in an Agile environment, leveraging tools like JIRA, Git, and Jenkins/Bitbucket for efficient development workflows.
• Design and develop scalable, modular Android libraries and tools to enhance app performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with architects, tech leads, and engineering managers to ensure robust design and seamless delivery.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and uphold best practices for code quality, security, and maintainability.
• Ensure timely project delivery, adhering to design, development, and performance optimization guidelines.
• Focus on performance benchmarking, optimization, and ensuring smooth user experiences.

Requirements:
Required Skills::

• Expertise in Kotlin/Java for Android app development.
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Flows, and Clean Architecture (MVI, MVVM).
• Strong understanding of Android SDK, Google design principles, and interface guidelines.
• Proficiency with Android Jetpack, SQLite, Realm, Firebase, and Play Store deployment.
• Experience with RxJava/RxKotlin, Espresso testing framework, and RESTful APIs.
• Deep knowledge of threading, memory management, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with ExoPlayer, Dagger2, Retrofit, and Glide is a plus.
• Experience working with Bluetooth, gyroscopes, and other sensors is an advantage.
• Knowledge of C/C++ and Android NDK is a plus.
