Position Overview

The Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant will serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, delivering strategic solutions to optimize business processes and leverage the power of Salesforce Data Cloud (formerly Customer Data Platform). This role requires a combination of deep Salesforce platform knowledge, expertise in Data Cloud capabilities, and exceptional client-facing skills to deliver value-driven outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Business Analysis: Work closely with clients to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, processes, and objectives. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for solution designs, processes, and configurations.
• Salesforce Expertise: Demonstrate deep knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities and limitations, offering solutions aligned with best practices.
• Salesforce Expertise: Provide strategic guidance on data governance, privacy, and compliance within Salesforce Data Cloud.
• Solution Design: Create functional design specifications and process flows that outline the proposed Salesforce solution, ensuring alignment with client needs.
• Configuration: Customize Salesforce using declarative tools and configuration options to implement solutions, such as custom objects, fields, validation rules, workflows, and automation.
• Data Migration: Assist in planning and executing data migration strategies to ensure data accuracy and integrity during Salesforce implementation.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of the Salesforce implementation to verify that it meets functional requirements and ensures a smooth user experience.
• Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams (developers, solution architects, and project managers) to ensure the solution's technical aspects align with the functional design.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation, including functional specifications, user guides, and process documentation.
• Best Practices: Promote best practices in Salesforce configuration and design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best-in-class approaches, including data security.
• Client Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients throughout the implementation process, addressing concerns and providing updates as needed.
• Pre-Sales Support: Support pre-sales activities, including solution scoping, proposal development, and technical demonstrations, as needed.

Qualifications

• Salesforce Data Cloud Certification required.
• Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant, are preferred.
• Proven experience as a Salesforce Functional Consultant or Business Analyst, with a strong track record of successful implementations.
• Ideally, have at least one full cycle Salesforce Data Cloud Implementation (end to end)
• In-depth knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Data Cloud, Service Cloud, or other relevant Salesforce products. (i.e., Non-profit Cloud, etc)
• In-depth knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud components, such as Data Streams, Data Model Objects, Identity Resolution, Segmentation, & Activations.
• Some knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud components, such as Calculated Insights, Data Transforms, and Data Actions
• Experience with cloud-based data warehouses/data lakes and Cloud platforms, i.e. Snowflake, Teradata, AWS, Google Cloud, etc
• In-depth knowledge of Data Architecture, Data Flows and Data Integration. Ability to create documentation, including ERD Schema diagrams & data cleansing methodologies.
• Proficiency in Salesforce configuration and customization using declarative tools (e.g., Process Builder, Flow) and experience with data modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate business requirements into Salesforce solutions.
• Experience with APIs, 3rd party integrations, ETL tools, REST/SOAP protocols
• Experience with MDM software & consent management in multi-channel environments
• Experience with data analytics tools (i.e., Tableau)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with clients and internal teams.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management concepts.
• Commitment to staying up-to-date with Salesforce releases and industry trends.
