ROS Software Developer Trainee

Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated ROS Software Developer Trainee to join our robotics development team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to enhance their skills in robotics software development, specifically with the Robot Operating System (ROS). As a trainee, you will work closely with experienced developers to learn the ins and outs of ROS, build robotics systems, and contribute to exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Test ROS-based Software: Assist in writing, testing, and deploying ROS-based applications and algorithms for various robotic platforms.
• Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with senior engineers and developers to design and implement robotics solutions.
• ROS Package Creation and Maintenance: Contribute to the creation, maintenance, and optimization of ROS packages for sensors, actuators, and controllers.
• Simulation & Debugging: Use ROS tools like RViz, Gazebo, and others to simulate robot behavior and debug issues.
• Code Integration: Assist in integrating third-party libraries or modules into the ROS ecosystem.
• Documentation: Write and maintain clear, concise documentation for the codebase and the integration of ROS packages.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Work with the team to identify and resolve bugs and issues in the system.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Programming: Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python (essential for ROS development).
• ROS Knowledge: Familiarity with the basic concepts and tools of ROS (such as nodes, topics, services, and messages) is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Linux: Comfort working in a Linux environment (Ubuntu preferred) for development, compiling, and debugging code.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and effectively with teammates.
• Collaboration: Team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to learn from and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹21,500.00 per month
