Job Description
Responsibilities and Role:
- Develop scalable, robust, and dynamic web applications using PHP.
- Create and maintain the backend components of web applications, that includes server-side logic, database integration, and API development.
- Write scalable & clean, reusable, and efficient PHP code following coding standards and best practices.
- Interacting with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) to store, retrieve, and update data required by the web application.
- Ensure to follow best practices such as Unit testing, TDD, BDD to developer error free code,
- Adopt security practices to protect web applications from potential vulnerabilities, such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), and other attacks.
- Utilize version control systems such as GIT/GITHUB to manage code changes and collaborate with other developers in a team environment.
- Integrate web applications with external services such as payment gateways etc
- Proficiently use one of the frameworks
- Create and maintaining technical documentation for code, APIs, and system architecture.
- Keeping up to date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in PHP development to continually improve skills and stay competitive in the industry.
- Interact with key stakeholders at the client’s end for requirement understanding, DSMs, Sprint Demos etc
- Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, Agile, release often environment.
Desired Candidate Profile :
- Skills Needed PHP Developer
- Applicants must have 3 to 6 years of development experience in PHP.
- Strong hold on OOPs concepts.
- Good knowledge of PHP 5.X & PHP 7.X, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQUERY & AJAX.
- Must have Strong knowledge of 2 frameworks among –Laravel/Symphony/Zend/ Code Ignitor
- Strong knowledge of MySQL database, PostgreSQL queries & stored procedures
- Strong knowledge of best practices such as Unit testing, TDD, BDD
- Strong debugging & testing skills.
- Understanding of deployment practices for PHP applications, configuring web servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx)
- Knowledge of creating & interacting with API – REST/SOAP
- Knowledge of MVC & MVVM architecture is a must
- Knowledge of security practices to protect web applications from potential vulnerabilities, such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), and other attacks.
- Have used branching tools such as GIT, Bitbucket etc.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
