Working with clients from around the world, our Real Assets team is making previously unseen investment data accessible. With us, you’ll empower clients to more effectively analyze performance and risk while building more sustainable strategies.
Your Team Responsibilities
The successful candidate will join a team of SRE engineers and will report to the SRE Team Lead. The role requires close co-operation with the development teams to deliver first-class IT support and stability to the business. The team’s remit includes stability-driven software development, support, incident and problem management, release management, development of production tools and running software projects to ensure long term stability.
We are looking for someone with a software engineering background who is an excellent communicator and organizer, proactive and a good problem solver. This person must be comfortable with working on their own, working with business stakeholders and marshalling other teams to support complex software in a very fast-paced environment. We use cutting-edge software development techniques and technologies, following the best practices of the industry.
Our applications and production processes run 24 / 7, so the successful candidate must be willing to be available and work out of hours and weekends.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd level technical support to business stakeholders, building strong relationships.
- Design, implement, and maintain a secure and reliable infrastructure platform of sophisticated Azure infrastructure solutions (IaaS & PaaS).
- Implementing Terraform modules for the purpose of deploying Azure Cloud resources.
- Experience leveraging configuration management – CICD, and DevOps tooling automation processes in an Agile environment.
- Own and manage support incidents end-to-end, working with users and technical stakeholders to communicate and resolve incidents.
- Conduct root cause analysis on incidents and ensure that the problem management process is fully followed through upon.
- Building software to help operations and support activities.
- Plan, document and deploy software applications on Azure based systems.
- Analyze release and deployment processes to identify key areas for automation and optimization.
- Successful candidate must work on rotational basis.
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
- 4+ years of total software engineering experience
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong troubleshooting skills / optimization skills
- Proven ability to handle complex situations in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to lead initiatives end-to-end, coordinating others in order to deliver
- Technical expertise in several of the following technologies
- Microsoft Azure certified preferred. Experience implementing and integrating existing processes with IaaS, PaaS, SaaS offerings from major cloud providers (Azure, GCP etc..).
- Experience with at least one of the scripting languages PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience with Containerization & Orchestration – Docker, Helm, Kubernetes.
- Experience with IAC such as ARM, Terraform and CI/CD tools – Azure DevOps (Repositories, Pipelines), GIT.
- Monitoring tools – Azure Monitor, Site 24/7
- OO Development and Design
- Database development, stored procedures, views and triggers
- (Optional) Microsoft Azure Certified
