About the Team & Business Line:

As a core member of our Risk IT team, you will to ensure our clients maintain access to their critical information while keeping Citco ahead of industry trends.

Your Role:

• The Risk Applications Developer will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, support and maintenance of java and web based applications.
• The candidate must have hands on experience and knowledge of technologies including Tomcat and JBoss servers, Oracle database with PL/SQL, and exposure to AWS .
• Good working knowledge of unix will be beneficial
• This position covers Java, PL/SQL and web based applications within the Citco Risk IT group.

About You:

• B.S. Computer Science or Mathematics preferred
• M.S. Computer Science, Mathematics, or Finance a plus.
• 3-5 years hands-on experience in server-side Java application development a must.
• Full-lifecycle application development experience necessary.
• Financial Application development experience a plus.
• Must have software engineering and application development background.
• Must have excellent listening, questioning and analytic skills

• Flexibility and ability to deal with change.
• Flexibility in work schedule according to project and business needs.
• Must be able to work independently with instruction from Development Manager
• Must be comfortable working in Agile / Waterfall methodologies to track, report, and deliver.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines to produce quality code following SDLC to meet Business expectations.
• Exposure to GIT a plus.
• Exposure to JIRA and Confluence a plus.
• Exposure to Jasper Reports is a plus
• Strong background in object-oriented programming and design
• Proficient in creating web applications using Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Boot)
• Experience in Java application memory profiling
• Proficient in common servlet components (sessions, filters, etc...)
• Proficient in Java Transaction API and designing transaction boundaries in the application
• Nice to have but no essential: popular web UI frameworks (Node.js, React,Sencha Ext JS)
• Additional certifications a plus. Mandates(4 matches minimum):

Java 8, jboss, AWS, Docker, Oracle, PL/SQL, React, Sencha Ext JS, Unix, analytic and debugging skills
