R&D Technical Lead

Job Description

As a R&D Technical Lead, you will be a pivotal member of the Subscriber Signaling and Policy (NPC/CSD) team within Product & Engineering at Nokia. You will drive innovation by problem-solving requirements and designing cloud-native solutions while having ownership over the software and hardware architecture at the system component level. Our agile, start-up-like environment fosters contribution and encourages creative problem-solving as we tackle the complexities of 4G/5G signaling, policy management, and software development.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• Conduct requirement problem-solving and design components based on cloud-native principles.
• Develop and maintain software and hardware architecture at the system component level.
• Assist end-to-end development of features and EPICs in an agile and lean environment.
• Deploy, test, and troubleshoot cloud-native applications.
• Implement and manage Software Configuration Management (SCM) practices.
• Drive innovation through the application of microservices and containerization technologies.
  
  

Key Skills And Experience

You have:

• 7 to 10 years of development experience with Core Java.
• Experience with cloud native architecture and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency on Linux platforms and familiarity with debugging tools.
  
  

It would be nice if you also had:

• Knowledge of 2G/3G/4G/5G Core Network components (e.g., HLR, HSS).
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with open-source PaaS environments such as OpenShift.
• Knowledge of 3GPP standards and signaling protocols like Diameter.
