QA Software Engineer & Sr QA Engineer

We are a virtual first company and your primary work experience will be virtual / working from your home. Occasional travel to a physical office may be required to enhance working relationships, collaboration, design, strategy and alignment.

QAD is seeking Associate QA Engineers, QA Engineers and Sr QA Engineers who will perform professional Quality Assurance functions outlined below. Non-complex testing activities are performed independently. Maintain the automated functional tests and integration tests. You will also be responsible for analyzing results and maintaining communication with functional teams and writing/updating the automated test scripts.

What You’ll Do:

• Execute manual and/or automated tests and ensure test completion. Document, retest and track defects until resolved. Define, produce, maintain and report applicable test metrics.
• Regularly monitor test results, Analyze issues identified during tests and identify the source of defect as functional, data or test case.
• Maintain the test scripts and test cases as per quality standards and procedures
• Become familiar with the functional aspects of the application.
• Create / update documentation as required and maintain communication with stakeholders.
• Maintain proficiency in new testing tools enabling patch testing by training formally and informally.

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business or quality assurance.

• A minimum of 2 to 10 years experience in a Quality Assurance / Testing role.

• Experience of software testing/test automation, including use of test automation tools such as Selenium or Jmeter.

• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and proficiency in testing methodologies, including automation, functional, integration, and system testing.

• Knowledge of Python or similar scripting language, preferably with experience in a test automation context.

• ERP system knowledge is an advantage but not essential.

• API testing experience, an advantage but not essential .

• Experience working with a test management tool, an advantage but not essential.

• Self starter - managing workload in an agile environment

• Good communication skills - you will need to collaborate closely with Quality Group colleagues, as well as other QAD QAs, developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure a clear understanding of requirements.

• Ability to be flexible and team-oriented, with good interpersonal skills, the ability to balance multiple tasks, and the ability to adapt or change approaches.
