Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with a background in Mechanical Engineering. As a fresher, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by performing inspections, tests, and process verifications. You will work closely with production, design, and engineering teams to uphold company standards and meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Quality Assurance:
• Perform inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Use mechanical tools and instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure products meet design specifications.
• Testing and Reporting:
• Conduct functional and performance testing based on predefined quality standards.
• Document and report non-conformance issues and assist in root cause analysis.
• Process Monitoring:
• Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Recommend improvements to reduce defects and enhance product quality.
• Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of inspection reports, test results, and quality metrics.
• Assist in preparing QA documentation such as SOPs and work instructions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work with design and engineering teams to understand product requirements and tolerances.
• Coordinate with production teams to implement corrective actions.
• Compliance and Standards:
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001, etc.) and customer specifications.
• Stay updated on new quality techniques and tools relevant to the mechanical industry.

Required Qualifications

• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and mechanical measurements.
• Familiarity with quality standards and inspection tools.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes like machining, casting, welding, etc.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and basic understanding of QA software/tools.
• Attributes:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
