Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure the quality and reliability of our software solutions by developing and executing comprehensive testing strategies. Responsibilities:

• Create and execute test plans to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Develop detailed test designs, cases, and scenarios.
• Conduct various types of testing, including functional, non-functional, usability, compatibility, and basic security testing.
• Manage the bug lifecycle, including identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using bug tracking systems.
• Perform SQL and database testing to validate data integrity and functionality.
• Ensure timely reporting and documentation of test results, progress, and issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure alignment with requirements and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain and update project artifacts throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Perform API testing to validate backend functionalities.
• Participate in Agile processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, testing processes, and methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with defect management and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL for database validation.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of security testing principles.
• Proven problem-solving skills to analyze and address software issues.
• Experience with API testing and integration validation.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Knowledge of non-functional testing, such as performance or load testing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?500,000.00 - ?700,000.00 per year
