Role Summary:
This position is responsible for Quality Assurance activities. Mainly on creating pump Inspection test plan and end-to-end support on project quality documentation approval. You will be ensuring the quality of the supplied products and ensure the compliance to the delivery specifications in order to optimize the business relationship between Flowserve and its suppliers. Also you will work directly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all project QA supporting activity is regularly reported to the client and performed as per agreed. Analyze and improves quality, cost, and delivery by using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure product safety through proper reviewing of the product documents and worksite safety through championing FLS policies and procedures.
- Creating Pump Inspection test plan (ITP) as per customer specifications.
- End to support on project QA documents review and approval.
- Review Certified Material Test Reports (Chemical, mechanical and non-destructive examination) with respect to ASTM and other applicable standards and procedures.
- Review of buyout products(Electric Motors, VFD, Seal System, LOS, Gear Box quality dossier with respect to ITP and customer requirements.
- Review component dimensional inspection reports against the manufacturing drawings.
- Compilation of Pump quality dossiers (QD) as per inspection test plan(ITP) and submitting to customer. Coordinating with internal departments and closing all documentation queries.
- Interact with BU engineers on providing status and getting clarification on open CMTR’s issues.
- Follow up with suppliers for correcting deviations and getting pending documentation.
- Drive strong performance with respect to responsiveness, key indicators (OTD, KQI, FPY, Utilization, Usage and Efficiency).
- Ability to sustain and improve key indicators using CIP techniques.
- Prepare work procedures/ checklist/ learning points to minimize the errors for all types of assignments for responsible business units.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration between team engineers and Supervisors.
- Train Assistance and Junior engineers within the team.
Requirements:
- Graduate Engineer in Mechanical Engineering with 3years experience in pumps or rotating equipment industry.
- Hands on experience in Lean systems/Kaizen activities.
- Ability to read and understand quality procedures/customer specification.
- Knowledge in standards (ASTM, ASME, EN and API 610 etc.)
- Solid knowledge in Engineering materials, Material testing and Manufacturing processes(Foundry, Forging, Welding and Heat treatment etc.)
- Technically expertise and accountable for the customer submittals (Direct Release).
- Certified in ASNT Level II and hands on experience in Non-destructive testing like PT, MT, UT and RT.
- Knowledge on database management tools such as OE PDMS and ERP like SAP, Oracle, BAAN, Symix is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
