Overview
Job Title: API Standards Compliance QA Engineer
Job Summary:
The API Standards Compliance QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all products, systems, and processes meet the API (American Petroleum Institute) standards and regulations in the Oil & Gas industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure API Compliance: Ensure products and systems comply with API standards (e.g., Q1, API 6A, API 16C, QM)
- Quality Assurance Testing: Conduct testing of equipment and materials to verify they meet API safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed test plans, compliance reports, and documentation related to API standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to implement and verify compliance with API standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, national, and international regulations related to API standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend process and system improvements based on API compliance audits and testing results.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in compliance and develop mitigation strategies.
- Perform production testing at various stages to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Oversee assembly line inspections to identify defects and ensure final product quality.
- Monitor and control manufacturing processes to meet required quality benchmarks.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of test results, inspections, and corrective actions taken.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of API Standards: In-depth understanding of API standards related to Oil & Gas (e.g., Q1, API 6A, API 16C, QM)).
- Testing Expertise: Experience in manual and automated testing of systems to meet API standards.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in ensuring compliance with API specifications.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities for resolving API compliance-related issues.
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, specifically within the Oil & Gas sector and with API standards.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Oil & Gas Technology, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Certifications in API standards (e.g., Q1, API 6A, API 16C, QM) or relevant quality assurance/testing certifications are a plus.
Salary: -
Negotiable on person ability skills & knowledge.
TIMING -9:00AM TO 5:30PM
