Python SQL developer

Drive the simplification of how we enable the business to rapidly and accurately access data. Serve as a subject matter technical expert and hands-on developer in Python and SQL. Support the process of gathering detailed business requirements from the business intelligence manager and leverage an excellent level of knowledge and experience in information/data governance and management. Have a passion for data processes and their importance in driving business performance. Demonstrate proven experience in the application of policies, procedures, and guidelines within a quality, compliance, and legal environment. Possess experience in driving change and leading innovative solutions. Hold a degree in science, mathematics, engineering, or information management. Have hands-on experience in Redshift and experience working in a global organization with a complex, geographical context. Be an expert in simplifying the IT landscape while providing the best value for the business. Exhibit analytical skills to quickly understand requirements, propose solutions, and weigh the respective merits. Possess strong communication skills and the ability to persuade multiple customers to agree to an acceptable, compromise solution when deviation is the risk. Have the ability to understand complex information landscapes at both global and regional levels. Implement necessary changes to strategic reports in alignment with the BI team. Lead investigations into data, master data, and information management failures and non-compliance, making recommendations for change and, where feasible, enacting change. Develop and drive the simplification strategy with all data in a central repository and ensure all data is FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). Maintain documentation of data sources and, over time, set up a data catalog service. Report to management (both IT and business) on the performance of governance processes to drive improvements in data, master data, and information quality and compliance within AstraZeneca functions. Partner with key staff members to create strategic business plans for our data and reporting ambitions. Identify, screen, and evaluate new technologies to address business needs. Take responsibility for the development and implementation of solution roadmaps to ensure successful introductions locally and across the organization.Expert in Python and SQL with experience in DBT. Have a great sense of customer usability when building dashboards. A proactive team player who is self-driven and demonstrates strong communication skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives. Able to interpret and communicate detailed technical information into business language effectively. Possess strong networking and consulting skills with valuable external links. Have excellent investigational and analysis skills to support data classification exercises and exception investigations. Experienced in delivering integration projects. Able to convince and manage negotiations across a complex group.
