Job Description
Technical Skills: Scrum Methodologies, Agile, Lean, Kanban, Tools like Jira, Confluence, Rally, Jira Align, Mural, Mural
Responsibilities: - Facilitate and organize daily stand-up meetings, iteration sizing and planning, retrospectives, and demonstrations
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Development Managers to plan releases and ensure backlog maintenance
- Track team’s velocity and other Agile metrics and plans accordingly
- Ensure the delivery teams are practicing scrum methodology and software engineering best practices
- Identify and remove any impediments or obstacles that prevents the delivery team from attaining iteration goals
- Report schedule progress, team status and issues to senior management
- Mentor and educate developers in the practical benefits of agile/scrum processes
- Cultivate a team that recognizes the value of agile development and use that recognition to improve
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, creativity, and innovation
- Participates in meetings to discuss project requirements, progress, and challenges
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Helping to define product requirements and creating technical specifications to guide development efforts
- Groom junior team members and guide them on best practices, resolve and support their queries
Requirements:
- Proficient in following agile methodologies such as Scrum and its principles, tools like Jira, etc. Be an advocate/coach of IT technologies, Agile/DevOps practices
- Execute all sprint ceremonies and rituals
- Maintain the scrum boards, metrics and statuses, manage prioritization and quality of user stories for sprints, plan sprints, backlog grooming, manage releases and roadmaps for timely delivery of projects/programs
- Track/monitor project progress and health, generate and provide status reports on project progress, challenges and timelines, etc.
- Proactively identify project risks, issues, dependencies and blockers and report timely to the concerned stakeholders, propose recommendations to resolve issues and seek advice as needed
- Highlight and resolve for essential needs to keep the project status healthy
- Identify and eliminate impediments, process improvements, and solutions. Effective communication, team building skills & soft skills
- Excellent client interfacing skills and presentation skills. Must have knowledge of traditional project management
- Must have excellent and extensive experience implementing and leading agile methodology
- Broad technical understanding both front end and back-end technologies and infrastructure
- Must have experience managing complex, multi-group projects and programs
- Ensure project objectives are met within the constraints of scope, time, cost to required quality
Qualifications:
- 7-8 years / 10 to 12 years of professional experience as a Scrum master
- Proven work experience managing a Technical Scrum Team for mid to large size projects
- Persistent in development & implementation of best practices
- Solid knowledge of Agile Methodologies
- Project managers with PMP/CSM/SAFe certifications
- Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork skills
- Provide full application development life cycle support
