Principal Software Engineer - Golang, Linux/Unix, Cloud, Agile Development

About The Role

PubMatic is looking for engineers who can design and implement highly scalable and low-latency DSP bidder features in our Activate platform. What You'll Do

• Advanced working experience in Golang, Linux/UNIX environment. Good to have experience on C/C++.
• Exposure to Google (any other) Cloud Services platform.
• Experience working in Kubernetes (k8s) platform is highly preferred.
• Experience working in Agile development projects is preferable.
• Excellent understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of OS and system programming (multi-threading, multi-processing, memory management).
• Troubleshoot any issues with existing features, live on production.
• Ability to write clean, modular, and loosely coupled code.
• Ability to understand end-to-end product functionality.
• Ability to do software design for assigned tasks.
• Working knowledge of scripting Perl/Python/Shell.
• Working experience in databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Work closely with team members to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.

• 9-12 years in Golang under Linux/Unix platform.
• Use best practices for software development and documentation, ensure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work.
• Demonstrated ability to self-direct and work independently.
• Demonstrate work ownership and focus on delivering on time.
• Mentor, groom, and lead junior team members on the technical front.
• Willing to go the extra mile to achieve greater results.
• Work with teams to achieve desired goals.
• Demonstrate timely and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to take Agile scrum responsibilities in the absence of Scrum Master.
• Should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering (CS / IT) or equivalent degree from a well-known Institutes / Universities.
