In this role, you will be responsible for coding, testing and delivering high quality deliverables, and should be willing to learn new technologies.
Responsibilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with Technical and Non-technical stakeholders.
- Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices.
- Gather user requirements and identify new features.
- Provide data management support to users.
- Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements.
- Research and suggest new database products, services and protocols.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
- BE/B Tech/MCA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
- Proven experience with IBM DB2 (LUW)
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting Language (e.g. Shell, Python)
- Strong understanding of Data Modelling, data warehousing concepts and database design principles in DB2
- Hands-on experience on writing stored procedures, efficient queries, making use of Cursors, worked on Temp tables to solve use cases, has supported object–relational features and non-relational structures like JSON and XML
- Experience in Database monitoring and Tunning using DB2 performance monitor, Event monitor, Explain, etc.
- Worked on third party utilities and tools like IBM Data studio, Aqua Data Studio or DBeaver etc.
- Experience in database utilities like Reorg, Runstat, Rebind, Load etc.
- Knowledge of Data integration, migration, and synchronization techniques in distributed environments
- Familiarity and hand-on with performance tuning
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to details
- Experience as a Database developer
- In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
- Hands on experience with SQL
