PHP Laravel Developer - Codeigniter

Overview

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Web Application Development:
• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP frameworks, specifically Laravel and CodeIgniter.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable PHP code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Develop and implement robust, scalable, and secure back-end logic and database schemas.
• Framework Expertise (Laravel & CodeIgniter):
• Utilize the full potential of Laravel and CodeIgniter frameworks to build feature-rich, high-performance applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the application and frameworks, optimizing for speed and efficiency.
• Database Management:
• Design, implement, and manage MySQL databases, ensuring their security, performance, and integrity.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and optimize database queries for high performance.
• API Integration & Development:
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs for third-party services and internal systems.
• Ensure proper handling of API requests and responses, including data validation and error handling.
• Create and consume APIs to support front-end and mobile app functionality.
• Front-End & Back-End Collaboration:
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Work with designers to implement visually appealing and highly functional web pages.
• Version Control:
• Use Git for version control to collaborate with other developers and manage codebase changes effectively.
• Handle code branches, merges, and version history with regular commits.
• Security Implementation:
• Implement best security practices, such as encryption, secure authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
• Perform regular code reviews to identify and fix security vulnerabilities.
• Performance Optimization:
• Analyze and optimize application performance by profiling and improving code.
• Implement caching strategies and ensure scalable solutions for high-traffic websites.
• Testing and Debugging:
• Write unit tests and conduct regular debugging to ensure the application is stable and error-free.
• Ensure proper error handling, exception management, and logging.
• Documentation:
• Create and maintain technical documentation related to system architecture, codebase, and APIs.
• Document any custom solutions or third-party integrations for future reference and team use.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with project managers, designers, and other team members to meet project deadlines.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Continuous Learning and Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies related to PHP development and frameworks like Laravel and CodeIgniter.
• Actively seek opportunities to improve technical skills and apply new solutions to projects.
• Client Support & Troubleshooting:
• Assist in troubleshooting production issues and provide timely solutions.
• Support clients in the deployment and maintenance of applications.
• Adherence to Best Practices:
• Follow coding standards, design patterns, and software development best practices to ensure maintainability and scalability.
• Contribute to the team’s development process and workflows by suggesting improvements.
• Project Delivery:
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality code for each project, meeting all requirements and client expectations.
• Participate in sprint planning and work within agile project management frameworks.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong experience in PHP development with expertise in Laravel and CodeIgniter.
• Proficiency in MySQL and database management.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Vue.js or React.
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of version control systems, especially Git.
• Knowledge of security best practices in web application development.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Good communication and collaboration abilities.
• Familiarity with cloud services and deployment tools is a plus (e.g., AWS, Docker).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?32,000.00 per month

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

• Yearly bonus
