PHP Developer

Overview

About the Role:

We are looking for a PHP Developer with strong WordPress expertise to join our development team. This fully remote role will focus on backend PHP development while leveraging WordPress for Headless CMS applications. You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining custom plugins, optimizing performance, and ensuring seamless API integrations.

Please note that while this position is posted by RunCloud (Malaysia), the role will be under the payroll of our Indian counterpart, Etica Studio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend applications in PHP, ensuring high performance and scalability.

• Work with Headless WordPress using GraphQL to power dynamic content delivery.

• Create, customize, and optimize WordPress plugins and themes for better functionality.

• Troubleshoot PHP and WordPress-related issues, including plugin conflicts and performance bottlenecks.

• Integrate third-party APIs and extend WordPress REST API capabilities.

• Work closely with the frontend team to ensure seamless CMS-to-frontend integration.

• Optimize database queries and caching mechanisms for WordPress performance improvements.

• Maintain high coding standards, documentation, and best security practices.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in PHP development (Laravel experience is a plus).

• Solid understanding of WordPress architecture, plugin development, and REST API/WPGraphQL.

• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js, etc.).

• Experience with database management (MySQL) and performance optimization.

• Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
