Job Purpose

• Payments Business Analyst: The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of payment processing, financial transactions in both B2B and B2C scenarios, and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements related to payments, settlements, and reconciliation.
• Work closely with technology teams to design, test, and implement payment solutions.
• Analyze and document payment processing workflows, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency.
• Conduct market research on emerging payment trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations such as PCI-DSS, PSD2, and AML/KYC guidelines.
• Monitor transaction performance, fraud risks, and security measures.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for payment-related issues.
• Generate reports and dashboards to track payment KPIs and business metrics.
• Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment on payment initiatives.
• Adhere to ISMS policies and procedures.

Job Specification / Skills and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of payment gateways, merchant acquiring, and card networks (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).
• Familiarity with digital wallets, real-time payments, and cross-border transactions.
• Experience with payment platforms such as Stripe, PayPal, Adven, or similar solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
• Experience with API-based payment integrations.
• Certifications in business analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or payments (e.g., NACHA, SWIFT) are advantageous.
• Exposure to AI-driven fraud detection and risk management in payments.
