Network Security Engineer

Job Skills:

3 + years of experience in network security with Fortinet technologies.
Strong expertise in FortiGate firewalls (configuration, troubleshooting, policies, NAT, VPN, UTM, and logging).
Good understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, etc.).
Experience in firewall rule management, web filtering, application control, and IPS configurations.
Incident handling and troubleshooting skills for network security incidents.
Experience in VPN setup (IPSec & SSL VPNs) and FortiGate HA configurations.
Hands-on knowledge of security monitoring and log analysis
Deployment, configuration, and administration of FortiGate firewalls in production environments.
Good grasp of FortiGate HA, clustering, and load-balancing techniques.
Define and manage Web Filtering, Application Control, Anti-Virus, DLP, and IPS policies.
Troubleshoot firewall policy conflicts, packet drops, session handling, and log anomalies.
Manage log monitoring, alerting, and security event correlation for proactive threat detection.
Preferred (Good to Have):
Knowledge of Fortinet SD-WAN.
Certifications like Fortinet NSE 4/NSE 5 (or higher) are a plus.
Understanding Check Point, Palo Alto, or Cisco firewalls is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Networks, Fortinet) and experience in handling security concepts (Rule ADD/ Modify
Delete, Nat, Faulty Firewall replacement, High Availability setup, packet capture, log
analysis etc.)
- Advanced knowledge on Radware Load balancers, WAF, DDoS Protection solution,
- Troubleshoot and fix high priority issues related to Firewall Load balancer, IPS/IDS,
- Work with the HW Vendors/TAC for the SW/HW related issues and providing the fix.
- Troubleshoot Site to Site VPN (IPSEC/ GETVPN/ GRE/MGRE) , Proxy related issue
- Involve in change management process for HW replacement/ IOS upgrade/ Config
- Knowledge and experience in Incident, Change, Problem, Service request and
- Monitor the queue and maintain regular updates on the Tickets as per agreed
summary to be documented for the Problem tickets. Document Pre & Post
implementation logs & Script for change. Network Diagram updates.
- Working on the assigned tickets within the agreed Timeline/SLA as per the Ticket
the technical knowledge by learning new Technology and doing relevant technical
certifications.
Note:
Qualification:
- Min 8 years of industry experience as a Network Security engineering on Design,
- Network Security, understanding and troubleshooting RADIUS/ TACACS enabled
- Good understanding on DNS and DHCP
Certifications –
Certifications like CCNA, CCNA Security, Product certifications on Cisco, Palo Alto Networks,
Radware, etc. will be given preference
