Overview
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Network Engineer will be part of the infrastructure team responsible for the day-to-day support of multiple office and warehouse network environments. The right individual will assist the IT infrastructure Team members with support, maintenance, and optimization of core network services, devices, and IT communications systems, end user applications connectivity and security, and assist in IT projects as needed. This team member will report to the Head of Technical Services & Information Security.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Monitor and manage IT Ticketing system for network related tickets and incidents, update, escalate, and close, as required
- Management, configuration, and support for routers, switches, servers, and firewalls platforms across multiple corporate offices and sites
- Assist with the daily support of security infrastructure, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems
- Mentor staff and serve as a primary escalation point for network incidents and requests
- Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and network and file share access rights
- Plan and manage approved Change Management configurations in the production environment, as needed
- Work on special projects and/or other related duties as assigned by the Sr Director, Infrastructure & Security
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- 4 Years minimum in the operation, support, and troubleshooting of local, wide-area networks (Cisco, Rukus and Meraki Wireless networks)
- Must have 4+ years Cisco switch, router, ASA firewall, and Client VPN experience. Palo Alto Firewall, Global Protect VPN experience is a plus!
- Experience supporting and securing Microsoft Windows Active Directory, Group Policy, Server 2012/2016/2019 environments. Microsoft Office365 Cloud Platform experience a PLUS!
- Knowledge of Network Access Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Networks (SAN), ISCSI, SMB, Fibre Channel
- VMWare experience and/or knowledge of virtual server environments
- Experience with Voice Over IP (VOIP) cloud platforms
- Experience configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting network protocols: TCP, UDP, HTTP, SSH, TLS, DNS, SMTP, FTP/SFTP, SNMP, RLogin, BootP, SQL, X- Window, ASP, DNA, SCP, NFS, RPC, IP, OSPF, ICMP, RIP, ARP, RARP, RDP, BGP, OSPF, Telnet
- Must be able to perform duties accurately and independently. Must be able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

- in a courteous, pleasant, professional, and efficient manner.

Problem-solving skills: must be able to quickly gather, troubleshoot and resolve any problems that arise with computer networks.
