Network L2 Engineer

Overview

Job Description:

• Provide L2-level support for Cisco network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers.
• · Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of network issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• · Configure and maintain VLANs, STP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VPNs, and QoS settings.
• · Collaborate with L3 engineers and architects for escalation and resolution of complex network issues.
• · Monitor network performance and security using tools like SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, and Wireshark.
• · Support network hardware/software upgrades, patch management, and firmware updates.
• · Implement and maintain network security policies, including ACLs and firewall rules.
• · Coordinate with vendors and service providers for circuit troubleshooting and maintenance.
• · Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• · Provide technical support during major incidents and participate in post-incident reviews.

Mandatory Requirement:

· At least 3-7 years of experience in L2-level support for Cisco network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• · Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking products.
• · Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
• · Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• · Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
• · Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,767.25 - ₹75,205.72 per month
