Overview
Role description
Summary:
We are embarking on a global project to connect up to 1000 sites across multiple regions. As a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and deploying scalable networking solutions that align with business objectives. You will offer technical consultation to IT support staff, engineering teams, and end-users, driving the successful deployment of network solutions leveraging the Meraki platform, AWS, VPNs, and Network Access Control (NAC) tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Design & Deployment:
Architect and deploy scalable network solutions utilizing Meraki MX & vMX VPN for secure site-to-site connectivity.
Deploy and manage AWS Network Services such as VPCs, Subnets, VPC Peering, EC2 instances, and more to ensure seamless cloud connectivity.
Implement and manage network routing protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP) to ensure optimal data flow across the network.
Security & Access Control:
Deploy robust 802.1X and Network Access Control (NAC) solutions to enforce secure network access policies.
Design and implement secure Client VPN Solutions (e.g., AnyConnect) with automated provisioning and role-based access control (RBAC).
Develop and enforce firewall rules and network security policies to safeguard organizational assets.
Documentation & Troubleshooting:
Create and maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, design templates, troubleshooting processes, and onboarding procedures.
Provide expert-level support for the identification and resolution of network-related issues.
Project Management & Execution:
Take ownership of the project’s execution, ensuring deliverables and milestones are met on time and within budget.
Communicate project status regularly, coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders to keep the project on track.
Collaboration & Communication:
Regularly interact with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficient progress towards project milestones.
Deliver knowledge transfer sessions and training to business units on network design and operational procedures.
Work Plan Management:
Develop and manage detailed project work plans, adjusting as necessary to meet changing requirements and timelines.
Ensure all project documents are up-to-date, well-organized, and stored appropriately.
Skills, Experience, and Education Required:
Experience:
3+ years of experience in IT systems engineering or systems integration, with a solid understanding of networking principles and IP protocols.
Proven track record in designing and deploying Cisco/Meraki network architectures.
Hands-on experience with the deployment of Client VPN solutions (e.g., AnyConnect).
Proficiency in deploying 802.1X for Network Access Control (NAC).
Experience with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for access management.
Strong familiarity with network security protocols and configuring firewall rules.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in AWS network services (VPC, EC2, Subnets, VPC Peering, etc.).
Strong knowledge of network routing protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, and BGP.
Automation scripting experience for deployment and operational efficiency (e.g., Python, Shell scripting).
