Overview

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Must have:

Expertise configuring layer 3 and layer 7 edge devices from scratch (Firewall, WAF, VPN concentrator). This should include devices from multiple ISV / Networking Appliance Manufacturers (e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto, F5 etc.). Cloud is preferred but not necessary. On prem is acceptable.
Expertise configuring SSL and/or IPSec VPN from scratch. Multiple manufacturers.
Expert LAN/WAN troubleshooting skills.
Expert Edge troubleshooting (Workstation OS, Windows, Mac).
Basic/Moderate LAN/WAN design skills.
Moderate Name Resolution/DNS skills. (Should understand Conditional Forwarders, DNS filtering)

Like to have:

Moderate/Expert level skills in Cloud Networking and Infrastructure. Experience with Azure is highly preferably
Moderate/Expert level skills SSE/SASE. Multiple vendors is highly preferably (e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto, Zscaler, Netskope etc.)
