Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance and health using network monitoring tools and identify potential issues.
- Troubleshoot network problems, analyzing logs and network data to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues.
- Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Implement network changes, following established procedures and testing configurations thoroughly.
- Support network deployments and upgrades, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime.
- Document network configurations and procedures to maintain clarity and consistency.
- Collaborate with IT and other teams to diagnose and resolve network-related issues.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences regarding network issues and solutions.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a network support or administration role.
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, and switching.
- Familiarity with network protocols such as DHCP, DNS, and VPNs.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Proficient in basic network configuration using command-line interfaces (CLIs).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Network certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Net+, Linux+) are a plus.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation purposes is desirable.
