Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior RF Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will have expertise in LTE and NR technologies and be proficient in using planning tools such as Mentum Planet and Atoll. This role requires a deep understanding of RF design concepts, project creation, simulation processes, design parameter configuration, and the ability to interpret various RF reports and files.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Planning: Utilize extensive design experience to develop and implement RF design strategies for LTE and NR technologies.- Tool Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in using planning tools like Mentum Planet and Atoll for RF design and simulation purposes.
- Project Management: Create and manage design projects in planning tools, ensuring all prerequisites and input data are accurately defined.
- Design Process Knowledge: Oversee the complete RF design process, from nominal planning and site surveys to site acceptance.
- Simulation Execution: Create sites and run simulations in planning tools, ensuring accuracy and reliability in outputs.
- Parameter Configuration: Configure basic design parameters and determine ideal values based on specific scenarios, ensuring clarity in logic and application.
- Simulation Fine-Tuning: Fine-tune simulation results to achieve optimal design outcomes.
- Report Preparation: Prepare RFCDR or RF site acceptance reports, ensuring logic and accuracy in documentation.
- File Creation: Create basic planning files such as KML, TAB, KMZ, and understand the file creation process.
- Data Interpretation: Interpret output files from planning tools, including link budgets, PN planning, and propagation model values.
- Survey Analysis: Read and understand RF survey reports and RF design implementation plans, ensuring alignment with design objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10-12 years of RF design experience, with expertise in LTE and NR technologies.
- Proficiency in using RF planning tools such as Mentum Planet and Atoll.
- Strong understanding of basic design concepts, including propagation, path loss, and antenna characteristics.
- Experience in the full design process, from nominal planning to site acceptance.
- Ability to interpret and analyze RF survey reports and planning tool output files.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
