Team Overview
We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our infrastructure team and contribute to the design, implementation, and management of our network systems. As part of a global team, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our network infrastructure that supports critical business operations.
In this role, you will work on cutting-edge network technologies, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. This position is ideal for a mid-level network engineer who enjoys being hands-on with day-to-day operations while contributing to long-term network strategies.
Role Responsibilities
- Design, configure, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network solutions, including LAN, WAN, wireless networks and load balancers.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks or potential issues to ensure high availability.
- Work with network security technologies to ensure a secure and compliant environment, including Cisco firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 Load balancer, scripting, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Implement and maintain network monitoring tools to proactively identify and address issues, minimizing downtime.
- Collaborate with global teams to design and implement scalable, resilient, cost-effective network solutions.
- Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures, ensuring clarity and consistency.
- Lead network infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and installations, minimizing disruptions to business operations.
- Provide support for critical incidents and escalations, working to resolve issues in a timely manner while identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
- Stay informed about emerging network technologies, standards, and best practices, bringing innovative ideas to the team.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience as a network engineer, working with enterprise-grade networks.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and MPLS.
- Hands-on experience with configuring and managing network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls from vendors such as Cisco, Arista, or similar.
- Proficiency in network security concepts and tools, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
- Proficiency with creating and maintaining network design diagrams.
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools, such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, or Nagios.
- Familiarity with cloud networking in environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing network issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred but not required.
- A desire to learn and grow within the field of networking, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
