Job Title:Network Installation and Commissioning Engineer

Job Description:

A role responsible for on-site installation, configuration, and testing of network equipment, ensuring proper functionality and integration within a client's network environment, requiring strong technical expertise in switching technologies and hands-on experience with network cabling and commissioning procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Cabling:
• Physical installation of network devices like switches, routers, and access points at customer sites according to project plans.
• Managing network cabling infrastructure, including fibre optic and copper cabling, ensuring proper termination and labelling.
• Performing cable testing and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• Configuration and Commissioning:
• Configuring switching protocols (VLANs, trunking, port security) on network devices.
• Implementing network segmentation and access control policies.
• Performing initial network connectivity testing and troubleshooting basic network connectivity issues.
• Documenting network configurations and site details.
• Testing and Validation:
• Executing comprehensive network performance tests to verify bandwidth, latency, and packet loss
• Utilizing network monitoring tools to identify and resolve network performance bottlenecks
• Conducting functional testing of network features and functionalities
• Customer Interaction:
• Collaborating with project managers and customer representatives to understand project requirements and address concerns
• Providing technical support and training to end-users on basic network usage
• Communicating project status updates and potential issues to relevant stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (STP, VLANs, trunking, port security)
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network switches and routers from leading vendors
• Understanding of network cabling standards (copper and fiber optic)
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and technical teams
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and ability to follow technical documentation

Relevant networking Certifications would be an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
