Overview
Job Responsibilities *Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN) * Working with Routers, Firewall’s and Switches * Perform network security design and integration * Working with different WIFI devices (Meraki, AeroHive, Unify-Ubiquiti etc. etc.) * Working with Network Monitoring systems * Diagnose problems and solve issues, often under time constraints; * Provide network and host based security, incident response, firewall and VPN management and administration; * Implement the necessary controls and procedures to protect information systems assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction; * Working with VOIP Phone systems (i.e.3CX, Freepbx, etc. etc.) * Assist in the development of guidelines and procedures for administration and security best practices (to meet HIPA, PIC, SOX etc. etc. compliance policies). * Provide network documentation; * Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions; * Monitor network usage, anticipate problems and suggest solutions; * Manage projects and maintenance tasks and working with ticketing system * Work closely with colleagues to meet team goals and improve processes and practices. * Remain current on emerging technologies via professional groups, trade magazines, * internal and external training, independent research and study, and other avenues available. * Perform other tasks based on project requirements. * Participate in meetings and conference calls related to support Proactively identify process improvements * Perform other tasks as assigned. Recommended Software Skills for this position (installing, configuring, and troubleshooting) * CCNA * Cisco ASA, SonicWALL, Juniper and other Firewall products * Switches (Layer1, Layer 2 & Layer 3) * VOIP Phone system (3CX, FreePBX, etc. etc) * Microsoft Windows Server’s (2008, 2012 & 2016) * VMWare ESX / ESXi * Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, Excel, Word, Access 2010, Visio & Project Planner Required Skills * Strong Knowledge and Remote Support * TCP/IP network routing, communications ports (port-forwarding), and configuring hardware firewall rules * Must have had lead role in design and implementation of Medium to Large networks. * Strong written communication and documentation skills * Advanced knowledge of IOS, NX-OS, EIGRP, BGP, GRE and OSP * Strong knowledge on Switching (Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switches) * decent understanding with all well-known ports. * Hands-on technical experience working with VPN technologies (IPSEC, SSL VPN, WebVPN, AnyConnect, DMVPN, etc.). * Knowledgeable in application transport and network infrastructure protocols (SSL/TLS,DNS, DHCP, WINS, NTP, FTP, HTTP, SMTP, CIFS, LDAP, and Microsoft AD), and possess an Understanding of how to support these applications / protocols when accessed through VPN and firewall appliances. * General understanding of VoIP equipment and operation * Understanding and developing strategies for data protection via data backups and business continuance planning for disaster-recovery situations * Working with technical-support services to develop solutions to problems with various products' support departments, including ISPs and hardware & software manufacturers * Ability to learn new technologies and run training secession. * Must have reliable transportation, Internet access from home and be on call for issues after hours. * Willing to work in Night shifts * Strong Analytical Skills * Strong Communication Skills * Must have exp to work with US/UK clients
