MS SQL Developer

Overview

Job Description:

Strong MS SQL Server Development experience.

Experience in writing SQL Server Stored Procedures, Functions, complex queries etc.,

Experience in understanding complex stored procedures.

Experience in debugging/troubleshooting the stored procedures and fixing the BUGS.

Experience in Crystal Reports or any other Reporting tool like SSRS etc.,

Should be able to read and understand technical specification document.

Good experience in writing code as per best practices and doing unit testing and regression testing for enhancement requirements.

Good knowledge and hands on experience in tuning the Database at Memory level, able to tweak SQL queries.

Good working knowledge of SQL Server profiler and using most of the options available in Profiler.

Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely to all levels.

Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

SQL Basics - Key constraints, Normalization, Joins, Loops, System Functions(window functions, Date, String, IsNull, IsDate, GetDate, etc.,), Sub queries, Co-related, Inline, Temp Tables, Table Variables, CTEs, operators

SQL Advance - Case statement, Cursors, Triggers, Stored Procedure Creation, Views, User Defined Functions, Logging, Magic Tables, Index, Transactions, Locks, Error handling

Debugging - Debug Stored Procs with more than a minimum of 1000 lines of code.

Performance - SQL Profiler, Actual and Estimated Execution Plan, query optimization, and understanding of backend functions.
