Manual Tester

Overview

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute test cases, scripts, and plans for functional, regression, and system testing.

Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.).

Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Perform UI, API, and database testing to ensure application reliability.

Conduct performance and compatibility testing across different platforms and browsers.

Lead and mentor a team of testers, assign tasks, and review test cases.

Ensure adherence to QA processes and best practices within the team.

Prepare and maintain testing documentation, reports, and status updates.

Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

6-8 years of experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.

Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle.

Hands-on experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.

Experience in writing detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports.

Strong knowledge of black-box testing, functional testing, regression testing, and usability testing.

Experience in database testing (SQL queries, data validation, etc.).

Basic knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and team management skills.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

ISTQB certification is a plus.

Experience in Agile methodologies and working in a Scrum environment.

Exposure to automation testing tools (like Selenium) is an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
