Manual Tester

Overview

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Manual Tester to join our team and ensure the quality of our software applications. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC).

Responsibilities:

• Create, execute, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, usability, compatibility, integration, and system testing.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using issue-tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.).
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business teams to understand requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Execute manual testing on web and mobile applications to ensure optimal performance.
• Validate UI/UX consistency, business logic, and compliance with specifications.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman (basic knowledge preferred).
• Report testing progress, results, and defects in a clear and structured manner.
• Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in manual testing.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
• Experience in testing web and mobile applications.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Basic understanding of SQL queries for database validation.
• Knowledge of API testing (Postman or similar tools) is a plus.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Nice to Have (Preferred but Not Mandatory):

• Experience with automation testing tools (Selenium, TestNG, Cypress, etc.).
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Java, JavaScript).
• ISTQB Certification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹235,504.11 - ₹1,240,335.44 per year
