Role Overview:
As a Manual QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our healthcare solutions. You will develop and execute test plans, identify defects, and work closely with development and product teams to deliver high-quality applications that make a meaningful impact on patient care. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a passion for quality, and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities:
Testing and Quality Assurance -
- Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Github).
- Ensure test coverage for new features and existing functionality.
Collaboration -
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Communicate issues and risks effectively, providing timely updates on testing progress.
Documentation and Reporting -
- Create and maintain clear documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results.
- Provide detailed reports on test execution and defect status.
- Ensure quality standards are met before software is released.
Continuous Improvement -
- Proactively suggest process improvements to enhance the QA workflow.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in QA methodologies.
- Contribute to improving the overall quality culture within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-4 years of experience in manual software testing.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience with defect management and tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Github).
- Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Familiarity with testing web and mobile applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in the healthcare or health-tech domain.
- Familiarity with agile development practices (Scrum/Kanban).
- Basic understanding of SQL for data validation.
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
- Knowledge of automation concepts (though the role is primarily manual).
