YOUR ROLE AT EFESO

For the growth of our consulting team, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Data Engineer:

• You will be an essential part of our projects, from acquisition through preparation to execution, ensuring that data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures align with business needs.
• You will serve as the central point of contact between the technical teams of customers and our team of integration and BI Engineers; acting as an interface / bridge between IT and business.
• You will be responsible for developing cloud data architectures for our clients. Working closely with the DevOps team, you will design, refine, and standardize cloud-based data processing and storage components (Data Lakes, Analytical Platforms, ETL tools, etc.).
• You will utilize data analytics techniques to derive insights from data, enabling data-driven decision-making and strategic planning with the focus on Supply Chain Management.
• You will implement data visualization tools and dashboards to present analytical findings to stakeholders, facilitating better understanding and engagement with data.
• You will explore and apply machine learning algorithms to enhance predictive analytics capabilities within our projects.
• You will participate in the implementation of integration projects that leverage modern technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs) to address the challenges of contemporary big data projects.
• You will advise our customers in the field of Advanced Analytics and Master Data Management (MDM) for Supply Chain Planning, focusing on customer specific business cases, data quality, governance, and standardization to drive supply chain efficiency.
• You will accompany or lead MDM and data governance projects, leveraging MDM tools to improve data consistency and integration with Advanced Planning Systems (APS).
• You will lead projects independently within a defined scope and guide EFESO colleagues, implementation partners, and client stakeholders in defining and implementing data architecture improvements.

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer or Data Analytics Engineer with a strong background in SAP. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with supply chain related data structures & tables, data models, and processes.
Further you have:

• 6+ years of experience working with Data Lakes, Lakehouses, and/or Data Warehouses in a Data Engineer or Data Analytics Engineer role.
• Strong knowledge in SAP, PySpark, and SQL; experience with Databricks or Synapse Analytics - or alternatively with ETL/ELT tools.
• You are familiar with at least one of the major cloud providers (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• A relevant degree in areas such as supply chain, IT, industrial engineering, business administration, or a similar field ideally paired with proven leadership skills.
• software implementation projects and/or with the Scrum methodology.
• Capabilities to analyse, build and maintain data structures, including Material Master, Vendor Master, Customer Master, BOM, and Routing, ensuring seamless integration with supply chain planning systems like BY, o9, and Kinaxis.
• Experience with Power BI, QlikView, and/or other BI tools (e.g., Qlik Sense, Tableau).
• Proficiency in using MS Office products, particularly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
• Knowledge in end-to-end supply chain planning (organization, processes, and IT) with a focus on data quality, governance, and standardization for demand planning, supply, network, distribution planning, or production planning would be a big plus.
• A strong affinity for new technologies and digital solutions, along with high motivation and a willingness to learn.
• You are fluent in English (spoken and written), with optional skills in German, French, or Italian.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Passion for teamwork and project work with customer companies
