We are seeking an experienced Azure Platform Engineer/Architect who specializes in Azure Monitor and Load Testing to join our Azure Cloud Operations team. This role requires an individual who can effectively integrate with our IT stack, which includes Infrastructure as Code in Terraform, AKS, Palo Alto VM-Series VMSS NGFW, Kafka, MS SQL MI, and more. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, be adept at problem-solving, and have a proven track record in cloud architecture and operations.
Essential Functions
- Design, implement, and manage Azure Monitor solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability of our cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and execute Azure Load Testing strategies to validate system performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with the Cloud Operations team to support and optimize the IT stack.
- Architect secure and scalable solutions on the Azure platform, leveraging services like Microsoft Certification Authority/PKI, GitHub Actions, Helm, and PowerShell.
- Assist in Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune, Application, Entra, M365, and network issues for seamless end-user support and experience.
- Implement and maintain network security solutions, ensuring robust protection for our cloud environment.
- Support developer and business personas in troubleshooting and optimizing their cloud usage.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the cloud operations team, fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure technologies and best practices to drive platform enhancements.
Minimum Requirements
- Two years of experience as an Azure Platform Engineer or Architect, with responsibility for configuring Azure Monitor Alert Rules.
- Familiarity with Terraform and familiarity with working inside of a terraform framework (Azure SRE or similar).
- Critical thinking skills to troubleshoot multiple technologies simultaneously.
- Three years with proficiency in deploying and supporting Azure services, including AKS, MS SQL MI, and Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Understanding of network security tools and practices, particularly routing, NSGs, and Firewall Rules.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Kafka, Certificate Signing/PKI, GitHub Actions, Helm, and PowerShell.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Well Architected Framework principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, capable of interfacing with developers and business stakeholders. Expert-level Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Architect Expert) are preferred. Azure Administrator Specialist Required.
