Overview
- End-User Support:
o Provide desktop support for a variety of workstations, ensuring seamless operation for VFX artists, designers, animators, and other staff.
o Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime for creative staff.
o Respond to help desk tickets, providing timely and effective solutions to technical problems.
o Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktop systems, software applications, and related peripherals (monitors, input devices, printers, etc.).
- System Configuration and Maintenance:
o Install and configure VFX-specific software tools (e.g., Autodesk Maya, Houdini, Nuke, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) on workstations.
o Ensure regular updates and patch management for operating systems and software applications.
o Maintain and troubleshoot network connectivity and shared storage systems (NAS/SAN) relevant to VFX workflows.
- Hardware Support:
o Perform diagnostics, repairs, and replacements of hardware components (e.g., CPUs, GPUs, memory, hard drives).
o Manage asset inventory, ensuring that workstations and other IT equipment are properly tracked and maintained.
- Collaboration with IT Team:
o Work closely with IT administrators and other technical staff to resolve complex issues, including server and network-related concerns.
o Provide input to improve the IT infrastructure and support processes to enhance efficiency and reliability in the studio’s environment.
- Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate and detailed records of troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and system configurations.
o Document software installations, updates, and hardware repairs/replacements.
- Training and Guidance:
o Provide basic training and support to end-users on VFX software applications and general IT practices.
o Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up workstations and providing initial training on system usage.
Requirements:
- Education & Experience:
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
o 2+ years of experience in desktop support, IT support, or related technical roles, ideally within a VFX or creative studio environment.
o Familiarity with industry-standard software for VFX, animation, and design (e.g., Autodesk Maya, Houdini, Nuke, Cinema 4D, Adobe Creative Cloud). • Technical Skills:
o Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux operating systems.
o Experience in troubleshooting and repairing desktop hardware (PCs, workstations, laptops).
o Familiarity with storage solutions used in VFX production (NAS/SAN, RAID configurations, etc.).
o Understanding of network protocols and connectivity (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP). o Experience with remote desktop support tools and help desk ticketing systems. • VFX-Specific Knowledge:
o Understanding of VFX pipelines, workflows, and the high-performance computing requirements specific to visual effects, animation, and post production.
o Ability to configure and maintain high-end workstations with powerful GPUs and multi-monitor setups.
- Soft Skills:
o Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
o Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues. o Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, creative environment.
o Team player with a customer-first attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
o Experience in Installing and configuring VFX-specific software tools (e.g., Autodesk Maya, Houdini, Nuke, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) on workstations. • Certifications in IT support, such as Red hat, MCSE, CCNA, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or equivalent.
- Familiarity with cloud storage solutions and collaborative tools used in VFX studios (e.g., Shotgun, Autodesk)

Pay: ₹8,808.24 - ₹37,328.01 per month
