Lead Software Engineer – Industry Cloud

We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer for our Industry Cloud team to design, implement, and optimize Salesforce solutions specifically tailored for the energy and utility sector. As a leader in the development team, you'll work closely with the Fusion product team to outline the necessary business processes and solutions to achieve successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to translate business needs into functional Salesforce solutions using Energy and Utility Cloud as well as Vlocity CPQ
• Develop scalable and sustainable architecture solutions in alignment with industry standards
• Serve as a subject matter expert on Salesforce, Energy and Utility Cloud, and Vlocity CPQ to provide guidance and make strategic recommendations
• Configure and customize Salesforce and Vlocity CPQ systems to fit specific client requirements including seamless systems integration
• Integrate Salesforce solutions with other systems/platforms using APIs and data integration techniques
• Lead quality assurance processes, perform thorough testing and tuning to ensure high-quality solutions delivery
• Oversee the preparation of comprehensive documentation including architectural diagrams and technical specifications
• Collaborate on Epic-Level designs using Miro, engage the product team for design validations, and present feasible design options to stakeholders
• Analyze Epic-level design, decompose it into phases, and create detailed Feature-level design to represent these phases
• Develop and update data models, UX designs, system interaction diagrams, and swimlane diagrams contingent on project scope and requirements
• Manage external teams or suppliers effectively to ensure alignment with deadlines and project objectives
• Demonstrate proactivity and initiative in coordinating meetings and driving the solution design process in an efficient manner
• Contribute to refining and improving operational workflows and processes

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in solution design and architecture within the technology sector
• Background in Salesforce Platform, Salesforce Industries including CPQ and Omniscript, and familiarity with AWS (serverless configurations like step functions, Dynamo, RDS)
• Understanding of integration designs and common API-based, event-driven integration patterns
• Proficiency in breaking down complex Epic-level designs into manageable phases and representing these in detailed Feature-level designs
• Capability to create end-to-end solution designs that include external systems interactions
• Qualifications in pushing back on requirements strategically, balancing effort against potential benefits, escalating issues when necessary

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics or general Dynamics platforms
• Expertise in the B2C customer lifecycle from Lead to Cash
• Familiarity with payment processing methods such as credit/debit card transactions and direct debit setups
