What will you do?

As a Lead Software Engineer-Frontend at Rocketlane, you’ll play a pivotal role in defining and shaping our frontend architecture while leading by example as an expert individual contributor. You’ll work alongside a passionate team of engineers to build pixel-perfect UIs, scalable frontend systems, and delightful user experiences.

• Architect & Build: Design and develop highly performant, reusable, and scalable frontend components using React, TypeScript, and modern SPA frameworks.
• Technical Leadership: Guide frontend best practices, mentor junior engineers, and help elevate the overall quality of the codebase.
• UI & UX Excellence: Collaborate closely with designers to create seamless, high-quality, and interactive user experiences with pixel-perfect precision.
• Innovate & Solve Complex Problems: Work on real-time collaboration features, live document editing, modern spreadsheet experiences, and dynamic Kanban views.
• Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks, enhance rendering performance, and ensure smooth interactions across devices.
• Scalability & Maintainability: Implement best practices in component architecture, state management, and design patterns for long-term scalability.
• Hands-on Contribution: Own and drive features end-to-end, from ideation to execution, while ensuring robustness and maintainability.

You should apply if

• Expertise in React: Deep understanding of React, component-driven architecture, and state management (Redux, Zustand, or React Query).
• Proficiency in SPA Frameworks: Strong grasp of modern frontend patterns, single-page applications, and component-based design.
• Advanced JavaScript & TypeScript: Hands-on experience with ES6+, modern JavaScript concepts, and TypeScript.
• HTML, CSS, SASS: Strong knowledge of UI styling methodologies and responsive web design.
• Performance Optimization: Experience optimizing frontend performance through caching, memoization, and rendering strategies.
• Browser APIs & Web Standards: Understanding of browser-based features like caching, local storage, and compatibility considerations.
• Experience with Build Tools: Familiarity with Webpack, Vite, or other module bundlers.
