As a Lead Software Engineer, you will deliver high-quality applications that meet user needs and business goals. Reporting to the Engineering manager, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining web software using modern technologies and best practices. You will provide technical guidance, mentorship, and feedback to other developers in the team.

Roles and responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and debugging the cloud-based applications.
• You will be responsible to lead and help build a new development team in Bangalore.
• Manage ongoing and new projects as they appear; plan sprints, manage deadlines with the team and communicate with various stakeholders.
• Optimise software for maintainability, quality, performance, security, and scalability.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to the team, setting clear expectations and objectives.
• Train, mentor and coach developers at all career levels, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Collaborate with other teams, such as design, user research, product management, and data engineering and data science, to deliver user-centric solutions.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and users, understanding their needs and requirements.
• Contribute to the overall technology function regarding infrastructure, shared knowledge and continuous improvements.

Key Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience as a Full-stack Software Developer with a focus on Backend and overall system design.
• 4+ years of experience in React, Node.js, Next.js and Typescript.
• 3+ years of experience in creating and consuming APIs e.g., REST, SOAP.
• 3+ years of experience in database technologies e.g. RDBMS, NoSQL, Elasticsearch, Graph DBs.
• Experience in Unit and Integration testing of code is mandatory.
• Proven experience in leading or contributing to the design and architecture of complex software systems.
• Experience building Responsive websites for web, tablet and mobile devices.
• Expert knowledge of software engineering tools and methodologies, such as Agile, git, code review, testing frameworks, etc.
• Exposure to other technologies such as C#, Python, PHP is an added advantage
• Outstanding problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lead and manage a team of developers, providing coaching, technical guidance, and feedback.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
