Role Overview

The Software Engineer for Cytiva is responsible for Design and Development of Service Platform & Products to enable remote troubleshooting and diagnostics.

This position is part of the Global Service R&D Organization located in Bengaluru and will be an onsite role. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Support architecting and designing, coding, debugging, and implementing software features and enhancements, working collaboratively with a team.
• Develop quick prototypes to demonstrate design concepts and product ideas to the team and management.
• Work independently as well as with SMEs.
• Lead and mentor a team of developers to solve complex engineering challenges and drive continuous improvement.
• Champion software development best practices to maintain high-quality standards.
• Develop prototypes to demonstrate design concepts, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to translate needs into actionable features.
• Write C#.NET to develop Windows Services that meet standards and deliver desired functionality for the project with hands-on experience on UI development using React JS, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Backend development with .NET core/framework including REST APIs and gRPC to develop Web Services that meet standards and delivers desired functionality for the project using a multithreading approach to achieve performance.
  
  

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. Masters degree preferred with 8 years of industry experience in design and development of software/system.
• Self-motivated full-stack developer with proficiency in C# .NET core/framework and hands-on UI development on React JS, HTML, JavaScript.
• Experience working with REST APIs, gRPC, and EtherNet IP protocol.
• Skilled in Azure DevOps Repos/Pipelines to enable incremental software development and exposure to InstallShield to run installation upgrades during consecutive releases.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) and Python is desirable.
  
  

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Machine learning (NLP) knowledge is an added advantage.
• Biotechnology/Life Sciences industry.
• GMP & regulatory environments.
• QMS and Documentation Practices.
  
  

This role is responsible for the design and development of Next Gen Service tools to support the Equipment Services initiative Drive productivity to fund growth. The development and launch of these tools would help unlock ~1.8M annual productivity savings to enable labor-driven revenue and fund future growth.
