Lead Software Engineer - Cypress, Playwright and JavaScript

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank’s - Digital Investment Banking Tech group, you will manage a global team of Quality Assurance professionals, driving our Quality Management strategy across multiple products and lines of business to ensure our solutions meet the highest standards and customer needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire our quality assurance teams to enhance our testing program.
• Provide coaching and professional mentoring as needed.
• Drawing on your significant quality assurance experience and intimate understanding of multiple applications, you'll identify quality issues and discover testing efficiencies.
• Ensure that we adhere to automation best practices across departments and lines of business.
• Collaborate with some of the best technology minds in the industry and have the opportunity to significantly impact the quality of our technology solutions and influence our strategic priorities.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• At least 7 years of professional experience in Software Quality or Software Engineering and 3 years of professional experience in management
• Ability to manage a global team
• Proficiency with Cypress, Playwright and JavaScript
• Understanding of Contract Testing, Performance Testing and Test Optimization
• Proven ability to negotiate, communicate, and deliver automated test solutions to both quality assurance and development organizations
• Deep expertise in creating test strategies and plans for multiple application releases
• Broad experience in developing strategies and solutions that are rooted in a an understanding of the financial services business in general and the risks of operating in financial markets specifically
• Expertise in working in partnership with colleagues throughout the firm and in leading collaborative teams to achieve common goals
• Demonstrated success in leading test organizations and advanced knowledge of both software lifecycles and testing automation
• Demonstrated understanding of application architecture — and experience identifying quality issues related to application design and distribution

• At least 5 years of professional experience managing Software Quality teams.
